Le Salon du Finjan 2025

Le Salon du Finjan

A New Chapter in Cultural Collecting

Press Release — Beirut, Lebanon | July 2025

✸ INTRODUCING A NEW TRADITION

In a country where memory is often the only inheritance, Coqlico® is proud to unveil the first edition of Le Salon du Finjan — a curated exhibition that reimagines one of the Levant’s most iconic objects: the finjan chaffé.

Once used to serve Arabic coffee in moments of hospitality, mourning, or meditation, the finjan becomes in this exhibition a canvas of expression — a vessel of ritual, resistance, and rebirth.

“We didn’t just invite artists to decorate a pot,” says Georges Antonios, founder of Coqlico®. “We invited them to reclaim an object that lives in every Lebanese home and memory, and turn it into a piece that could one day live in museums, collections, and sacred spaces across the world.”

✸ THE 2025 EXHIBITION

Le Salon du Finjan — Edition I July 2025

📍 Rebirth Beirut, Gemmayze

🗓 July 15 to July 29, 2025

🕔 Daily from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM

17 of Lebanon’s talented emerging and established artists were each invited to reinterpret Coqlico’s signature Coqlipot© 180 ceramic vessel. The result is a rare collection of one-of-a-kind, signed, hand-decorated pieces, each imbued with personal stories of memory, exile, identity, and hope.

The exhibition merges design, heritage, and storytelling — elevating the Coqlipot from functional form into art object, collector’s item, and cultural time capsule.

✸ CREATED BY ARTISTS. COLLECTED BY VISIONARIES.

These works are not only artistic statements — they are scarcity-backed cultural assets. In an era where currencies collapse and markets fluctuate, art remains one of the few enduring repositories of value, memory, and identity.

By collecting a piece from Le Salon du Finjan, you are not simply acquiring an artwork —

You are preserving heritage,

Funding the future,

And staking a claim in the narrative of our people.

✸ A PLATFORM FOR COMMUNITY AND LEGACY

This first edition of Le Salon du Finjan also marks the 5-year anniversary of Coqlico® — a Lebanese brand reimagining everyday ritual objects into global design collectibles. The exhibition serves as a cultural cornerstone for Coqlico’s next chapter, which includes:

  • A community investment platform for diaspora youth
  • Future editions of Le Salon du Finjan (next in 2026)
  • A broader vision for cultural wealth, slow design, and multi-sensory storytelling

✸ COLLECTOR ACCESS

Artworks are available for acquisition both during and after the exhibition, with prices ranging from $250 to $3,200 USD. Proceeds support the artists and help fund Coqlico’s community-driven expansion initiatives.

Collectors, curators, and media are invited to preview the pieces and request private consultations via: 📩 hello@coqlico.co
